Family Fire Station 13 Tour

Calling all junior fire fighters and kids of all ages! Join the fun as we tour Fire Station 13 and get close to the firetrucks and the community helpers who keep us safe! Free fire hats and stickers to the first 60 kids! This year, we will have 3 tour times:- 10:00 Tour 1
- 10:30 Tour 2
- 11:00 Tour 3
- Please choose one, and show up 10 minutes prior to the tour to check in.
- This is at the same time as the Museum of San Carlos History Open House (next door)!

This event offers the public a chance to view the displays in the Museum and interact with the Villagers and docents. Do you have questions about the last 100 years in San Carlos? The answers and other treasures can be found in the museum! Paired with the popular Fire Station 13 Tour, it's appropriate for all ages and refreshments will be provided!

San Carlos History Walking Tour
San Carlos Youth Center, 1001 Chestnut St.
Join Museum of San Carlos History docent John Durkin for a walk through the heart of San Carlos, recalling our city’s past and considering our future. Walkers start at 11:30 AM outside the Youth Center and end at the Museum of San Carlos History at 1:00 PM.
You will learn:- Why are there so many restaurants on Laurel St. ?
- Where was the Greater San Francisco Speedway?
- What is the future of Laurel St.?
- What is the history behind Burton. Park?
Target Audience: Adults and children (4th grade and older) able to walk from Burton Park, across town, to the Museum of San Carlos History.

Open Studios at Art Bias
Art Bias, 1700 Industrial Rd.Art Bias is a family friendly art center with over 60 artists and 50 studios. At least twelve artists will have their studios open for this event. Chat with the artists, ask questions, and gain insights into their techniques. Plus there will be a number of hands-on art projects for families and kids. Complimentary refreshments.

Boondoggle Frequently Asked Questions
The Boondoggle is a team event that will take you on a route around town, solving clues, answering factoids and collecting loot. It will start and end at the San Carlos History Museum. Teams will travel in cars (one car per team) and can be comprised of up to five people of any and all ages.- 1:00-1:30 Check-in

Art Exploration Afternoon
Learning Home Volunteers, 633 Quarry Rd., Suite D
All of you aspiring artists - young and old- come and spend an afternoon exploring art in all forms and mediums. Want to try a little clay work? How about building in cardboard? Want to make a sculpture out of foam? Want to do some painting on foil? Come to our warehouse, which is filled with all sorts of art materials and helpers to get you started on your masterpiece.

We will have a Taco Bar with a variety of options that cover most dietary needs, plus beverages. We ask that you sit with people you don't know yet and find common points in your lives. It truly takes a village!
