Join our city-wide bath towel collection drive to help local dog shelters keep their furry residents warm and comfortable! Donated towels will be used for bedding, grooming, and cleaning to improve the quality of care for rescue animals.
San Carlos, let’s come together to support our four-legged friends! Your contribution can make a huge difference for animals awaiting their forever homes. (please - only new and very gently used bath towels) This event is part of Community Service Saturday.

Please join the Friends of the San Carlos Dog Park as we braid fleece fabric and create dog toys for local dog rescue shelters. By repurposing old fleece or using fabric scraps, these handmade toys also promote sustainability. Volunteers will braid the fleece toys in different sizes to suit dogs of all breeds. These durable toys will make a thoughtful addition to any shelter. Woof! This event is part of Community Service Saturday.

Join Museum of San Carlos History docent John Durkin for a walk through the heart of San Carlos, recalling our city’s past and considering our future. Walkers start at 11:30 AM outside the Youth Center and end at the Museum of San Carlos History at 1:00 PM.
You will learn:- Why are there so many restaurants on Laurel St. ?
- Where was the Greater San Francisco Speedway?
- What is the future of Laurel St.?
- What is the history behind Burton. Park?
