Target Audience: Toddlers and up

Know your rook from your knight? Drop in this hour to learn the strategic game of chess, and challenge yourself and an opponent. Basic instruction, chessboards and sets will be provided. All levels, from beginner to Grandmaster, are invited to play!

Target Audience: Best for ages 7+

This book sale is held by the Friends of the San Carlos Library. Choose from thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, and more in gently-used and like-new condition. Items are for all ages in all genres at incredibly low prices—from 25 cents to $2—plus a great selection of rare books, priced individually. Proceeds benefit the library. Sale occurs the primarily on the 3rd Sunday of each month, with some exceptions.

BikeMobile offers a free, hands-on repair clinic to help people of all ages get back on their bikes and gain confidence performing future maintenance. First come, first served. Sponsored by San Carlos Library and BikeMobile.

Target Audience: All ages of bicycle riders, especially youth

Please join the residents of the San Carlos Elms and Arbor Bay School students in collecting canned and packaged food for the needy in our community! Drop off will be the San Carlos Elms. Volunteers will assist you with your donation! No fresh or frozen food--canned and packaged items only. Every donation can make a BIG difference to someone in need!

Parents and kids will have the chance to create with color, texture and even smell using the fabulous sensory medium of playdough. See how through squish, squashing can give kids tactile feedback, develop fine motors skills and other benefits. Gain insight and ideas for future play with One Life Counseling staff and Learning Home Volunteers.
